Required Rental Qualification

Driver(s) personal qualification

Each driver must present a valid driving licence in her/his name (driving licence in characters not readable must be accompanied by International Driving Licence), held for a minimum 1 year; s(he) must also be of 21 years aged at least.

Financial qualification

The payment of the estimated rental charges and the possible charges resulting from damage to or loss of the rented vehicle must be warranted at time of rental.

• Europcar charge cards and Full Credit vouchers are accepted.  

• Credit cards are accepted in the limits authorised by the credit card company.  

• Europcar prepaid vouchers ( with a specified value or the mention Group Days Apply) are accepted as means of payment of the rental charges, but they must be accompanied by a credit card for the charges which have not be prepaid (extras, refuelling charge, damages not covered by insurance etc.).

• Cash: only the lowest vehicle categories may be rented against cash: an additional reference is required and a deposit covering 1,5 x the estimated rental charges  has to be paid in advance.

Procetions

• Damage (bodily injury or property) caused to third parties: Insurance coverage of the above risk is included in the rates.

• Personal Accident Insurance (PAI): This cover is particularly recommended for the driver, who would not be covered by the rental vehicle’s Third Party Liability policy for Death or Permanent Disability occuring as a result of an accident s(he) causes herself/himself. This cover is also included in the rates. 

• Damage to or Loss of the rental vehicle: CDW (Collision Damage Waiver)- LDW (Loss Damage Waiver)-TW (Theft Waiver). This cover is mandatory and automatically included in the rates. But, certain types of damage like underbody and overhead damage,  tyres, under carriage damage or interior damage are excluded. In case of negligence (scratches and damages caused by improper car manipulation) or intent of driving under influence of alcohol or drugs, the customer liability will be claimed up full value of damage.

Vehicles-Fuel-Maintenance

•  All types of vehicles may not be available at all locations; advance reservations are therefore recommended.  

• Our rates don’t include fuel. Vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel and our customer must pay for any fuel missing at the end of rental.  

• Normal maintenance, oil and lubrication are included in the rates. Incurred roadside expenses which have been approved by Europcar station will be refunded upon presentation of the original receipts.

Restriction of Use

We recommend to check at time of reservation or at the start of rental the countries to which the vehicle may not be taken.
